Alesse
Alesse is a contracpetive intended to be taken orally.
The two active ingredients in Alesse are levonorgestrel and ethinyloestradiol, which are similar to hormones normally
produced by the body.
Alesse works by preventing the egg from developing fully every month. Because the egg then cannot accept sperm,
fertilization is halted.
